Savvy Savories® is a San Francisco East Bay-based natural foods company founded in 1996 by Culinary Institute of America graduate, Steve Seligman.
Steve started cooking regularly at age 9 (to get out of doing the dishes!) and has followed his passion for creating exciting, pure flavors ever since. Having worked in restaurants, directed prepared foods for a local grocery, catered, and taught nutrition and cooking to school kids, Steve started Savvy Savories®out of his catering kitchen when his customers clamored for retail sales of his seasonal soups. He has gone on to focus on complete meal options, including his delicious, ready-to-eat vegetarian “meat” items.
Steve lives in San Leandro, CA with his wife Beth, son Eli, daughter Olive , Marlo and Charlie(dogs).
